'First Thursdays' at The Independent - Dinner Series presents "Santa Cruz Inspired Wood Fired Feast"
The Indy is alive & 'First Thursdays' continue April 4th at The Independent with a 4pm Public Mini Market followed by our Dinner Series at 6pm. ''Santa Cruz Inspired Wood Fired Feast" inspire the evening meal featuring collaboration with 'Indy Allstar' vendors rallying to create a dynamic feast anchored by Uncie Ro's Wood Fired Pizza restaurant! Only 100 Dinner Tickets are available for $25 for single entry, $10 for kids, and $20 for Military/Students/Sand City Residents with ID. (Specific Vegetarian tickets are available).

The dinner will be served family style on platters to be shared + devoured by friends new and old, so bring a social spirit! Look forward to meeting + eating next to contributing food artisans like 'Friend in Cheeses' + 'Eco-Deli' providing fresh goat cheese smoked over apple wood and malted grain crackers for the classic appetizer tray of tabouli + baba ghanoush! Wonderful Wines from 'Le P'tit Paysan' + a vast array of Beer from 'Post No Bills' are available for purchase. Save room for dessert of Maha's housemade baklava accompanied by 'Penny Ice Creamery' ice cream with a orange pistachio frosted cupcakes from 'Fluff Cupcakery' too! All spiced to the tune of the 'kanoun'- come listen, lounge + linger over an evening never able to be repeated! Happy Girl Kitchen will be pouring 'Blue Bottle' coffee Turkish style that will send you off inspired into the night!
Families are encouraged to bring their children confident in the casual atmosphere and 'Kids Corner' activities provided by Monterey Museum of Art ($10 ticket- 12 + under). making is planned! 3 of a kind Craft Soda will be sampling + selling their carefully sweetened sparkling drinks (non alcoholic).
Art will be hung on the walls.
A 'Mini Market' will be open to the public 4-6PM before the private Dinner event begins. This social hour gives opportunity for the public to engage with food artisans and buy their goods- some of the best in the region! Come for the market and stay for dinner- IF there are any tickets still available!
