Harmonia/3 - BENEFIT PERFORMANCE for Santa Fe Women & Families in Crisis
Santa Fe is in for a treat: World-renowned virtuoso cellist and award-winning visionary activist, Michael Fitzpatrick, joins storydancer and humanitarian performer, Zuleikha, and world percussionist par excellence, Issa Malluf, for a stunning evening of music, story and dance in the beautiful Railyard Performance Center. Proceeds to benefit Solace Crisis Treatment Center, Esperanza Shelter for Battered Families and The Storydancer Project's programs in partnership with Solace and Esperanza.

BIOS:
Michael Fitzpatrick has performed as cello-soloist on the United States Capitol West Lawn, at the Hollywood Bowl, the United Nations, the National Cathedral in Washington, D.C., New York's Town Hall, Merkin Concert Hall, Aspen Music Festival, Spoleto Festival of Two Worlds, Conseco Fieldhouse Arena, Calgary's Saddledome Arena, the United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Australia, India, Spain, Italy, France, Switzerland, and numerous concert tours across the United States and Canada. For the past 16 years, he has shared the stage with Nobel Peace Prize laureate His Holiness the XIVth Dalai Lama as part of TUNING THE PLANET  the unprecedented East-West chant/fusion project conceived and produced by Fitzpatrick and recorded and filmed inside the largest cave in the world. Television appearances on PBS' The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer and PBS' recent feature The Music Instinct: Science and Song, as well as on National Public Radio's All Things Considered and NPR affiliates nationwide. Mr. Fitzpatrick serves on the Board of Advisors of the Aspen Institute's Global Forum on Cultural Diplomacy - and is an International Advisor to The Dalai Lama Foundation.

ZULEIKHA is an international performer and teacher in the art of movement for wellness. She is renowned for her soul-stirring one-woman concerts and inventive collaborations with world musicians and poets. Founder and director of the non-profit organization, The Storydancer Project, Zuleikha received the 2010 Images & Voices of Hope Media Award for "infusing the art of dance with the gifts of healing, understanding and love of life." She is the creator of the Take a Minute for Your Life Core Wellness exercise program to increase vitality and resilience. In performances and classes, Zuleikha exemplifies the dynamic and joyful way body, mind, and spirit work together in creativity, rejuvenation and greater well being.

ISSA MALLUF, Palestinian-American world musician/ percussionist, is known for his African percussion (with African music ensemble "Umoja") and Arabic drumming, which at times he has combined with modern electronic influences. He has more recently joined the music ensemble "Sadaqah" with Beth Beaver, Renaldo Baca and Billy Woods, "Little Earth" with virtuoso oud musician Rahim Alhaj, and the Slavic gypsy waltz band "The Zoltan Orkestar."
