Parama (Supreme/Transcendental) Swara (note thats complete in all dimensions) is expected to be rich in the perfectly tuneful and beautiful notes that the Gundecha Brothers are renowned for. The Indian classical art form of Dhrupad is itself known for deep, structured exploration of music. Gundecha Brothers take this to new heights by rendering imaginative, meditative alaps (improvisations building up a raga), powerful jod/jhalas (rhythmic improvisations of the raga) and moving renditions of compositions.
Typically, in the first section of the concert The Gundecha Brothers completely render one raga in comprehensive Dhrupad structure. In the second section, they offer shorter expositions of, and compositions in, different ragas.
There will be a 20 minute break in between sections.
**We will have a light vegetarian dinner option available an hour before the event. Reserve it now and pay $10 for the meal by cash on the day of the event.**
