IKAIKA & KEVIN BROWN - A FATHER & SON MUSICAL REUNION

The Brown Legacy Continues

Though (father) Kevin, who lives in his country home town of Waiehu, Maui, and (son) Ikaika, who now resides on the "9th Island of Las Vegas", are separated by the Pacific Ocean, slack key traditions are kept alive and well. Ikaika, now age 34, has been playing slack key for 25 years, while Kevin has 40 plus years mastering the music art form of Ki hoalu. Despite the distance of land and sea between the normally inseparable duo, over the last 5 years, this father & son musical ohana have been able to complete their CD album that began just before Ikaika relocated to Las Vegas. The new album, "The Brown Legacy, not only features father and son, but also showcases the angelic voice of Ka Ena, the one and only girl amongst three boys in the Brown `ohana. Those of you that have the Brown's last album in your collection, 3 Generations, recorded some 17 years ago, may recognize Ka Ena as a cameo guest on that album.

Come join Kevin and Ikaika Brown, along with sister Ka Ena, for an evening of music and talk story. Bring a friend and/or loved one(s) and share in the moment where father and son duo finally open the floodgate of distance, and let the music flow for all to hear.

If you find that you won't be able to attend after all, please cancel your registration and let us know so that we can accommodate others on the wait list. There will be a recommended minimum donation of $25 that will be accepted at the door. Wine, soft drinks, and appetizers will be provided at no charge.
