"Faeries in The Garden"
We invite you to "Faeries in the Garden"
Two delightful events in one Day!
A Daytime Family event from 10:00am to 3:00pm
Under 3 yrs old FREE.
Over 75 yrs old (with picture ID)Free DAYTIME ONLY.
& an Evening Event from 6:00pm to 9:00pm
Adults only. (18-21 with chaperone)
Organized by local artists concerned about the lack of Art in our schools & community. We bring you the opportunity to experience the beauty and therapeutic properties of art hands on.
We've teamed up with local organizations such as "The Water Conservation Garden" at Cuyamaca college (aka "The Garden"), Arts 4 learning, Visionary Dance Theater, & Employee Arts Program to host a fundraiser event at The Garden.
Funds will create a program of free art classes for San Diego County children to be held in the beautiful surroundings of The Garden & a traveling art class to accompany "Ms. Smarty- Plants" TM on her school visits!
We'll have a "faerie Garden" contest for the kids during the day and an area where they can make a faerie garden at the event if they didn't bring one with them.
Prizes for Best Costumes! We want you to use your imagination and come dressed for the occasion!
Home crafted Costumes enthusiastically encouraged.

Aside from beautiful fanciful costumes and the delights of the gorgeous Garden setting, the event will showcase local Artisans & Entertainers, Restaurants, Brew Houses and Wineries, photographers, artists, dancers, musicians, singers
Our Artists demonstrations, and free or low cost art projects led by the attending artists will really get your creativity flowing.
Join artist Kira Corser from "Posts for Peace & Justice" and help create a post with a voice! YOU can also create you own mini post to take home!
Entertainment and musical performances from Visionary Dance Theater...and so much more.
We're looking for help in all areas right now, including artists willing to offer a simple inexpensive project or demo. Perhaps a watercolor painter will have some small scrap pieces of watercolor paper and allow the public to see how it feels to use the medium. Perhaps a potter might have some air dry clay and show how to create a simple coil bowl, maybe a wire worker uses inexpensive wire to create a simple ring...you get the idea.
