Desorden Publico in Vancouver - North America Tour 2016
Desorden Público is a ska/rock band founded in 1985 in Caracas, Venezuela. The band's music mixes ska, Latin rock, reggae and traditional Latin music styles. The group's lyrics are known for commenting on Venezuelan and Latin American politics and society.
Desorden Público is the first and most important Ska project and one of the largest-pop bands of contemporary musical history of Venezuela, besides being one of the strongest proposals of Latin Ska.
Influenced by the English 2 Tone movement, Desorden Público's embraces different languages and promotes racial and social tolerance. The band has more than a dozen releases, reaching platinium level in sales; they have had several No.1 and top 10 hits in Venezuela, Mexico among other countries. They have toured intensively during their 30 years all over Latin America, North America and Europe. Desorden Público have played with many ska legends in their long career like The Toasters, The Skatalites, Fishbone, The Wailers, The Slackers, Los Aunténticos Decadentes, Los Rabanes, Cafe Tacuba, Gustavo Ceratti, Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra.
This will be their first time in Vancouver, Canada. They are bringing their latest album, Bailando Sobre las Ruinas; freshly out of the press, along with 11 musicians providing a whole night of entertainment. Their new single "Los que se quedan los que se van" dedicated to the Venezuelan ex pats has already gathered many fans around the world.
