American Contemporary Ballet, based in Los Angeles performs the choreography of George Balanchine, Fred Astaire, and Lincoln Jones. ACB's performances are always danced to live music, which is played by some of LA's finest classical musicians. Our venues seat the audience at stage level, and each program is followed by a reception with the artists and live jazz.
ACB presents two distinctive series, DANCE DESIGN and MUSIC DANCE:LA.
DANCE DESIGN is a sophisticated, accessible introduction to ballet led by ACB's Artistic Director and illustrated by performances featuring ACB's dancers and musicians.
MUSIC DANCE: LA offers audiences the rare opportunity to see new ballets paired with live music by some of LA's finest musicians while seated just a few feet from the stage.
