The mission of the San Diego East County EDC is to foster economic prosperity and enhance the quality of life in San Diego's East County. As a public-private partnership, the East County EDC accomplishes its mission in a variety of ways. Its programs and projects all serve to:
Retain and enhance primary employment in the East County.
Promote business expansion and retention.
Stimulate investment in the region.
Facilitate open dialogue among the area's business, government, education leaders.
Foster greater regional cooperation and planning to benefit the entire East County.
East County EDC sees its role as a catalyst for the development of extended enterprises which comprise all of our resources (e.g., large businesses, small businesses, infrastructure components, government, including the military, universities, trade schools, etc.) that can deliver the required level of value and innovation to all facets of our region's economy.
