The Atlas Peak Appellation is home to Napa Valley's most highly elevated, rugged and visually stunning landscape. Not for the faint of heart, this immensely challenging and unadulterated region of Northern California wine country has been producing fine wines since 1870.
The vision of the Atlas Peak Appellation Association (APAA) is to be recognized as a premier Napa Valley American Viticultural Area (AVA), producing exceptional grapes and wines.
The mission of the Atlas Peak Appellation Association is three fold: First, to raise awareness among trade, media, consumers and other vintners of the amazing wine growing place and terroir that is Atlas Peak %u2013 by promoting the fruit grown and wine made in the Atlas Peak AVA. Second, to create opportunities for wineries and growers in the AVA to interact and share information, identifying the unique characteristics of wine made from grapes grown in the AVA, in comparison to other appellations in Napa County, for use in marketing the APAA, its members, grapes, wines and events. And third, to promote and increase membership opportunities in the APAA for all those who have an interest in all activities concerning the vineyards and wineries within the Atlas Peak AVA: i.e., growers, winemakers, vineyard managers, neighbors, friends, and other trades that are allied with the wine industry.
