Devour! The Food Film Fest

Foodies and film fans unite this fall to celebrate in the heart of Nova Scotia's wine country for Devour! The Food Film Fest, the world's largest food and film festival from November 4-8, 2015. Just one hour from Halifax, Wolfville, Nova Scotia is "Canada's Secret Foodie Destination" (The Hollywood Reporter) and the "New Napa of the North" (Gusto TV), which makes it the perfect backdrop for this collision of food and film.

Revel in the newest food movies, take in a workshop on everything from food writing to wine pairings, snack at some of the hottest food trucks around, indulge in the pleasure of Kings County's bounty on one of our experiential tours or dine red-carpet-style at one of the celebrity dinners to make it a full day. Featuring more than 50 new films hot off the global film festival circuit, you never just go to a film at Devour!, you get the full sensory experience. Devour! serves up some of  best food on earth right in, at or around the festival's Al Whittle Theatre. Watch a film with the director, cast and crew and walk right into a pop up tasting of local food hosted and served by the celebrities in front of and behind the camera.

From the Devour! opening gala which features a major cinematic, television or culinary star curating their favourite food film of all time, to the closing Golden Tine Awards brunch, there is truly something for everybody. Last year, international TV sensation and author Anthony Bourdain thrilled a sold-out audience. Who will it be this year?

Our popular workshop series will appeal to anyone fascinated and inspired by all aspects of the food and wine industry. For the foodie there are chef demos, craft cocktail making, wine seminars and more.
