THE TOPIC: Are you ready to deliver care to a vast variety of patients? In the 21st century you have the potential to be treating five generations of patients in your practice! It doesnt matter how little or how long you have practiced, this course will help you recognize the physical and mental changes that are occurring in your patients. Learn ways to prepare for the diversity in the ages of your patients related to medical history, oral health assessment, and treatment.
THE OBJECTIVES: Upon completion of this course, attendees will:
1.Discover fascinating differences between the generations and how those differences shape their views on oral health
2.Recognize the oral health needs of your patient as they relate to their medical history
3.Identify ways to assess, plan, and treat those needs
4.Examine current trends and how they relate to the future of your practice
THE SPEAKER: Trisha A. Cloutier, CDA, RDH, BS, MA is a Territory Account Manager for Ultradent Products. She was an Associate Professor of Dental Hygiene at Bristol Community College where she was the Program Director, Sophomore Clinical Coordinator, Public Health Educator, and ADA Student Advisor. Trisha graduated from the Community College of Rhode Island and continued her education at the University of Rhode Island, obtaining a BS in Dental Hygiene and MA in Adult Education. She was the Continuing Education Chair for the Rhode Island Dental Hygienists Association and was a Commission Evaluator with the Commission on Dental Accreditation. She practiced in general and periodontal practice and is a published author and speaker.
