The Hudson Whiskey Feast
On Wednesday, March 22, Dirt Candy is teaming up for a one-of-a-kind party with Tuthilltown Distillery: a six-course Hudson Whiskey Feast.
The first distillery to open in New York State since prohibition, Tuthilltown is responsible for the award-winning Hudson Whiskey line and they're sending their Whiskey Ambassador, Han Shan, to guide our guests through a night of locally-made whiskeys, bourbons, and single malts.
He's still tasting and experimenting, coming up with flavor combinations that will dazzle your palate, but here's a rough menu, with the understanding that the alcohol pairings may change between now and the night of the feast:
* Snacks (Pickled Kale Lollipop Sprouts, Shanghai Shoots, Korean Fried Broccoli) paired with a White Manhattan made from Hudson New York Corn Whiskey, Dolin Blanc vermouth, orange bitters, and brine from the Lollipop sprouts
* Rutabaga paired with Hudson Single Malt Whiskey
* Mushroom paired with our Brass Band cocktail made with Hudson Baby Bourbon
* Pepper paired with Hudson Four Grain Bourbon
* Brussels Sprout Tacos paired with a Basil & Bourbon Cocktail
* Pumpkin Semifreddo Pie paired with Maple Cask Rye
Tickets are $120 per person, including tip (but not including tax).
We all love to drink whiskey, here's a chance to learn more about it from one of the smartest whiskey enthusiasts in the country, and to celebrate just how delicious New York state can be when it's distilled down to its most basic essence and put in a bottle.
