Discovering St. Nicholas: A Holiday Storytelling Workshop!
Saturday, 12/6/25 at 10am, doors at 9:30am, KN95+ masks required & provided free. Special Holiday Storytelling Workshop: Discovering St. Nicholas, will be presented by Chrissy Dart, professional storyteller, adjunct faculty at the SMCC Storytelling Institute, and co-producer of Phoenix Folklore Friday.
Join us for a hands-on workshop where we explore the life and legacy of St. Nicholas, whose stories have inspired children and adults for centuries. Where did Santa Claus come from? Who is St. Nicholas? Was St. Nick jolly?
In this session, participants will work with fascinating historical accounts, legends and folktales that reveal who St. Nicholas was, and still is. Through interactive discussions, oral storytelling, and creative activities, you will gain a deeper understanding of how St. Nicholas' legacy continues to shape modern traditions. Perfect for history enthusiasts, families, and anyone curious about the origins of Christmas folklore. Youll come away with at least one story about St. Nicholas that you can tell to those around you.

Advance tickets are $20 and admission will be $25 at the door. The workshop is limited to 20 attendees, so please consider reserving your spot soon!
We are doing our best to be inclusive to all who would like to attend, to include those in high risk or immune compromised status. We are presenting live events while keeping the safety of the audience, volunteers, and performers as our primary concern, and KN95+ masks are required to be worn by attendees while inside. Masks are available at Fidd's and are provided free in a variety of fabulous colors!
We'll have hot coffee, teas, Boxed Water, and soft drinks available too! Fiddler's Dream truly appreciates your support as we begin our 39th year showcasing special events like this one!
