Winter Harvest Dinner featuring Max Sussman in support of FoodLab Detroit
You are invited to a special evening to support two non-profit organizations, FoodLab and Signal-Return.

On Tuesday, December 16th, at 7 pm chef Max Sussman will cook a Detroit Winter Harvest Dinner in a private loft in the Eastern Market neighborhood (at the home of our own board member Michelle Andonian). Chef Sussman will prepare a special 6-course dinner highlighting Detroit growers and producers, focusing on the underutilized winter harvest from local sources.

Tickets are $250 and the cost of the ticket is tax deductible. All proceeds raised go to benefit Foodlab and Signal-Return.

About Foodlab: FoodLab is a community of food entrepreneurs committed to making the possibility of good food in Detroit a sustainable reality. We design, build, and maintain systems to grow a diverse ecosystem of triple-bottom-line food businesses as part of a good food movement that is accountable to all Detroiters.

About Signal-Return: Signal-Return espouses four principles that guide its operations and strengthen the creative community in Detroit: Teach, Connect, Serve, and Produce. These operating guidelines steer all of our initiatives and ensure that our programming is directly tied to the objectives and goals set by our mission. The space is first and foremost a working letterpress studio that sets the stage for all of the programming and activities on which we have built our reputation.

About Max Sussman: Max Sussman is from Huntington Woods and has been cooking his way through New York for the last 5 years.  He has received awards from the James Beard Foundation, Forbes Magazine 30 under 30 and been featured in The New York Times and Vanity Fair. With his brother Eli he has written three cookbooks published by Williams Sonoma. He hopes to return to the area to open a sustainable restaurant in Detroit that will serve the community and align with locally rooted community-oriented and food justice organizations like Signal-Return and FoodLab.
