The PoRazone Love Project presents -
"Talk to Me: Transcending the Communication Breakdown"
The mission of this show is to inspire and encourage clear communication in order to create peaceful and cooperative relationships in the world.
We recognize that the condition of fear, doubt, and alienation, which can give rise to misunderstanding, discord and violence, is in part a product of our undeveloped capacity to listen to whats within as well as to whats without.
Listening at its core is rooted in the expression of empathy. When the individual or community has the experience of being heard, felt, and acknowledged, lines of communication begin to form, separateness and disharmony begin to dissipate and bonds develop.
By integrating a multitude of mediums including original song, storytelling, theater, video, photographic images and dance, The PoRazone Love Project presents a compelling live performance art experience that shows the underlying causes of miscommunication. They draw upon their own personal stories and experiences, and those of others, which reveal the need for deeper listening in the intrapersonal, the one on one relationship, and relationships within families, between communities, races, ethnicities, genders, classes, societies, cultures, and nations.
