Hands On: Collaged Portraits
Hands On: Collaged Portraits
Titus Kaphar: The Jerome Project is composed of small-scaled painted portraits of Black men based on police portraits Kaphar found online of men who shared the same name as his father, Jerome. How might you explore portrait-making though collage? In this workshop, participants will use collage techniques to create portraits of men on gold paper backdrops, inspired by The Jerome Project paintings.
