GAGE WEEKES of The Hollingsworth Funds
Join us on December 4 as Gage Weekes, Senior Vice President for Hollingsworth Funds discusses the current state of philanthropy in our community and the cultural shifts on the horizon that will change the way we approach solutions to complex social issues.
Gage will provide a rare window into the evolving mindset of funders in Greenville and the ever-present power dynamic between grantor and grantee. He will explore the disconnect between values and practice, the growing leadership deficit, the promise and challenge of Collective Impact, and new initiatives with potential for change.

ABOUT GAGE WEEKES
Gage Weekes is the Senior Vice President of Strategic Initiatives for the Hollingsworth Funds, a foundation that has distributed more than $42 million in grants to Upstate organizations. He is responsible for researching current trends in philanthropy, and developing innovative ways to enhance the effectiveness of Hollingsworth's grant-making strategies.
Prior to joining Hollingsworth in 2012, Gage served eight years at Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors, first as Philanthropic Advisor and Manager, and then as Director. As Director, he managed a portfolio of 20 sponsored projects and funder collaboratives, totaling more than $20 million in annual distributions. He also was responsible for designing and implementing strategic grant-making programs, including research, proposal analysis, and impact evaluation.
Prior to joining Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors, Weekes served as a program associate for the El Pomar Foundation and USGA Foundation in Colorado Springs.
Gage is a graduate of the University of Richmond, and earned a Master's Degree in Business Administration from Fordham University in New York City.
