The Importance Of Being Earnest
Conservatory Theatre Ensemble (CTE), TAM High's student-run theatre company, will present Oscar Wilde's classic comic satire opening December 4 and playing through December 8 at the Caldwell Theater located on the Tamalpais High School campus in Mill Valley at 7:00 P.M.
The play is famous for its witty dialogue and clever plot twists regarding two Victorian gentlemen who wish to have a secret identity named "Ernest" in order to escape the stuffy society they are subject to in daily life. Along the way, there's romance, mistaken identity, a missing baby and an unpublished novel abandoned in a railway station.
CTE's production, set in the Edwardian period, features advanced students acting and designing while Co-Program Director Susan Brashear directs the action. All performances are at 7:00 P.M. at the Caldwell Theater (near Almonte). Tickets are $12/ Adults and $5/ Students and Senior Citizens available at the CTE box office an hour before performances begin.
