Matrix 3rd annual Author Luncheon featuring Temple Grandin
Matrix started its annual Author Luncheon benefit to support and celebrate its 25th year of empowering parents of children with special needs to understand and access the services their children need. This 3rd annual luncheon features Temple Grandin, internationally acclaimed animal scientist, autism advocate, and best-selling author. Her own path to overcoming autism is told in Emergence: Labeled Autistic (published in 1986 by Arena Press), the book that revolutionized experts understanding of autism while giving families hope. Her presentation will focus on her latest related book: The Way I See It: a Personal Look at Autism and Aspergers. Her presentation will be followed by Questions and Answers. Her books, which she will autograph, will be available for sale.
Due to the overwhelming response to this event, our initial space for this event has sold out. We are expanding seating for this event to an adjoining space at a reduced price. Attendees will be able to view the event in a theater-style setting with a large screen while enjoying a box lunch. Questions will be taken from both rooms and everyone will have the opportunity to buy Temple's books and have them autographed.
Educators please note that there is a program which you may attend at 4 pm on April 19.
