11.11 Art Group presents an original solo performance created and performed by Evan Johnson, based on the afterlife and aftermath of gay serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer.

In "Don't Feel: The Death of Dahmer" Jeffrey Dahmer's last minutes of brain activity provide a unique setting for an experimental performance which examines the cross-sections of fear and sexuality. Playwright and performer Evan Johnson's unique play places special emphasis on Dahmer's solitude and his struggle with self identification.

In a state correctional facility on the morning of November 28, 1994, Dahmer was ordered to clean the gymnasium when a fellow inmate, Chistopher "Christ" Scarver battered him to death with a piece of weightlifting equipment. 6 months earlier Dahmer had been baptized as a Christian and was praised for being "born again" by a variety of church leaders. In "Don't Feel: The Death of Dahmer" the fate of Jeffrey Dahmer's troubled soul is ultimately left in the audience's hands.

This original play is being produced by 11.11 Art Group in conjunction with MCVF (Mama Calizo's Voice Factory) San Francisco's premiere location for original queer performance. The D.I.Y. Residency is a 3-month program at MCVF for emerging queer artists and the development of new work.

"Don't Feel: The Death of Dahmer" opens February 12, 2010 and runs through February 27th. Performances are at 8pm, doors open at 7:30. MCVF (Mama Calizo's Voice Factory) is located at 1519 Mission St. in San Francisco, CA.
