Nick Goumas Quartet
Tenor and soprano saxophonist Nick Goumas is a jazz musician who has developed his own mature , imaginative and identifying style. Nick performs with energy, feeling and musical integrity. His Quartet is joined by four outstanding Boston area musicians who all have outstanding credentials. Steve Hunt / piano, Bruce Gertz / bass, and Jack Diefendorf/ drums.
Drawing on the " American Song Book " along with today's " Jazz Standards" ; The Nick Goumas Quintet's post Bebop, contemporary straight ahead style and it's display of rhythmic and harmonic sense produces some exciting jazz improvisation. Their growing audience has a mixture of musicians and jazz aficionados alike.
