Eddie Sarfaty in MENTAL, An Evening of Homo Neurotic Comedy
DINNER AND VIP PACKAGES FOR THIS EVENT ARE SOLD OUT!
A FEW $25 SHOW-ONLY TICKETS ARE STILL AVAILABLE.
Join Stand-up Comedian Eddie Sarfaty for a hilarious evening of good-natured sarcasm, out-of-the-box opinions, and general silliness benefiting The Center for AIDS and celebrating Eddie's new book, Mental: Funny in the Head.
"Eddie Sarfatys Mental made me laugh out loud on the subway, eliciting glares from strangers. Read it in public if you dont mind drawing attention to yourself, read it in private if you do mind, but read it." -- Michael Cunningham, Pulitzer Prize winning author of The Hours
Eddie will be available after the performance to sign books. EDDIE SARFATY has appeared on The Today Show, on Comedy Central's Premium Blend, and on Logo's stand-up show, Wisecrack. He has been featured at Montreal's Just for Laughs Comedy Festival and is one of the subjects of the documentary, Laughing Matters. Candid and caustic, Eddie Sarfaty is a natural storyteller, and his rapier wit effortlessly captures the everyday absurdities of life, blending self-deprecation and sarcasm with a razor-sharp instinct for the ridiculous.
THE CENTER FOR AIDS Information & Advocacy empowers people living with HIV to make informed decisions about their healthcare by providing the latest research and treatment information and by advocating for accessible, affordable, and effective treatment options until there is a cure.
MENTAL: FUNNY IN THE HEAD (Kensington Press) finds Eddie Sarfaty lovingly skewing his dazzlingly dysfunctional family -- whether recounting a family European vacation, where his ailing father shouts obscenities at the Mona Lisa, or discovering his mother surfing JewHunt.net in search of a mahjong a trois. Mental also has Eddie turning the spotlight on his own misadventures with equal glee, including a disastrous summer in Portugal working on a knock-off production of The Phantom of the Opera, and an unfortunate decision to jump a subway turnstile in New York City that ends in a night of hell and near electrocution.
