The Woman in Black
Open Circle Theater presents a dark Valentine to its audiences with Stephen Mallatratt's adaptation of Susan Hill's ghost play, The Woman in Black, opening February 12.
This thriller is the eerie story of a solicitor sent to a remote house on the dank English marshes. There he attempts to settle the affairs of its late owner, a lone and shunned old woman. The locals believe the house is cursed, and the initially skeptical young man soon finds himself confronting the grim echoes of its blighted past and the terrible spectre that haunts it.
Directed by J.D. Lloyd, the production features Jesse Lee Keeter as Arthur Kipps and Steven Shields as Actor. Opening night is Friday, February 12 and the production runs Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30pm, Sundays at 4:00pm. The show closes Saturday, March 6.
