SEEING FACES With Hanoch Piven

Hanoch Piven's art is about communicating through fun and playfulness by reinventing the meaning of regular objects, and by inviting viewer active participation. In this multi-media presentation, Piven will demonstrate how intuition, right brain thinking, serendipity, trial and error and above all, a healthy amount of fun and humor, can trigger our creativity.
The colorful and witty illustrations of Israeli illustrator Hanoch Piven have appeared throughout the last 20 years on both sides of the Atlantic in magazines and newspapers such as Time, Newsweek, Rolling Stone, and The London Times. Piven's artwork can also be found in children's books, exhibiting across the world in galleries, and in advertising campaigns and TV programs. Piven's latest book "Let's Make Faces" was published by Atheneum in 2013. This past December, Piven presented "Living in a Playful Collage" on TEDx Jerusalem.
Piven's illustrations will also be on display in the Shared Walls Hallway Exhibition Area at the Sabes JCC, December 14 through January 31.
This event is presented in partnership with the Israel Center of the Minneapolis Jewish Federation.
Presentation recommended for teens and adults.
Tickets: $12 ADVANCE; $14 SAME DAY
FREE for high school and college students with ID, thanks to the Consulate General of Israel to the Midwest.
Ticket includes light reception.
ALL TICKETS ARE WILL-CALL and will be held at the box office under your name for pick-up prior to the event. Box office will always open one hour prior to event start time.
