The Bloch Building at the Nelson Atkins Museum of Art with Matthew Porreca, AIA LEED AP BD+C, BNIM
Matthew Porreca AIA, Principal BNIM Architects, will present the Bloch Building at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, which was designed by Steven Holl with BNIM as the Architect of Record. This project was named Time Magazine's "Building of the Year" in 2007 along with receivein the National AIA Honor Award. This lecture will elaborate on the design methodologies and technical execution for this truly innovative building. This lecture will also include a brief video from the "PBS series Cool Spaces! The Best New Architecture" which featured this transformative project.
