The 2pm matinee performance is a FAMILIES WELCOME show, and will be followed by a workshop for kids. At FAMILIES WELCOME shows, each regularly priced adult ticket admits one free child (under 12). Each additional child's ticket is only $5!
MB&D Creative Movement Workshop
A creative process and movement workshop for children ages 6 to 12
Sunday, April 26th from 3:30-4:30pm (following the 2pm performance)
Attendance at the performance is required for workshop participants.
Pricing: $12/child with early registration or $15 at the door
(The workshop fee is in addition to the performance ticket price.)
ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
Through a series of cued movement-based explorations, students will reflect on ideas from within MB&D's SAID.I.MEANT. "Lost versus Found" will be explored and students will play with variations of games that they know well (i.e., hide-and-seek and marco polo), which examine these experiences. Led by Megan Bascom and several of her dancers who have extensive experience working with children, the workshop will further enhance these games to allow for larger movement expression. Their curated creative games will allow students to employ their imagination and critical-thinking skills in order to find full self
expression.
PLEASE NOTE: There will be a photographer present at the workshop. By having your child participate, you are permitting MB&D and Triskelion Arts to use the images taken at the event for promotional use.
