UNEXPECTED PRODUCTIONS NORTH: YOUR HAND GOES HERE
YOUR HAND GOES HERE
FOR A LIMITED ENGAGEMENT AND BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND, Unexpected Productions North (UP North) at the Black Box Theater at Edmond Community College presents "YOUR HAND GOES HERE" with  improv puppet artists Colin Smith and Elizabeth Westermann. This talented duo has been featured at the Hawaii Improv Festival and the Alaska International Festival of Improv .  They use your suggestions and their puppets to create hilarious stories in front of your eyes.

From Sesame Street, The Great Space Coaster, to present-day Grocery Outlet ads, puppets have surrounded us since childhood. Improvised puppetry explores the puppets' physicality through specific movements, tics, and traits, the actor's abilities as physical improvisers. Come play!

Elizabeth Westermann has been interested in puppetry ever since her eyes were able to focus on Sesame Street. She has been performing puppetry since 2004, when she staged the first incarnation of Puppet TV - then known as The Cotton Gin. She began building puppets shortly thereafter and has created puppets for Wizards of the Coast and The Saturday Knights "Count it Off" music video. She has been performing improv with Unexpected Productions since 2000 and is thrilled that the two interests complement each other so well.

Colin Smith has been a member of Unexpected Productions' Ensemble since 2008. He was a four year member of Davidson College's improv troupe Oops...; co-wrote, directed, and performed in the sketch comedy show Who Says That?!.  He is assistant teacher for Lakeside high school introductory theatre, taught a 6th and 7th grade unit in improvisational theatre at Hyla middle school, designed workshop "Accessible Comedy for the Camp Stage" for YMCA Camp Orkila staff; taught classes on improv at YMCA Camp Orkila, coached Mountlake Terrace High School to 1st place in the 2009 Hogan Cup Theatre-Sports tournament.

Each nights show is tailored for the audience and based on suggestion.
