V-Day Petaluma "A MEMORY, A MONOLOGUE, A RANT & A PRAYER"
Beneficiaries are Petaluma People Services Girls Circle, BRAVE People/Girls, and YWCA Womens Safe House & Domestic Violence Services.
This is a groundbreaking collection of monologues by world-renowned authors and playwrights, edited by Eve Ensler and Mollie Doyle. These diverse voices rise up in a collective roar to break open, expose, and examine the insidiousness of brutality, neglect, a punch, or a put-down. The writings are inspiring, funny, angry, heart-felt, tragic, and beautiful. But above all, together they create a true and profound portrait of this issue's effect on every one of us.
Featuring a phenomenal male and female cast, directed by Joe Peer, and accompanied by a shakuhachi bamboo flute and percussion players.
