TOP GIRLS by Caryl Churchill
One of Churchill's most popular plays, Top Girls explores the clash between the ideas of feminism and capitalism in our modern age. The play follows the life of Marlene, a career-driven businesswoman, in a world that inflates the role of the individual over the celebration of collective group gain. Top Girls reveals the conflict with sacrifice and success and the ultimately flawed desire to "have it all".
