Cookie Cutter featuring ka.nei.see | collective
Dance Up Close/East Bay and presents Cookie Cutter, an evening of original dance by ka.nei.see | collective at Shawl-Anderson Dance Center in Berkeley, January 24-February 1, 2015 at 7PM each evening.
Cookie Cutter investigates the positive and negative nuances of its subject, from figuratively exploring what it means to be predictable, recycled, and not unique to literally referencing cookie cutters and the delicacies they shape. An evening of dichotomies in space, manufactured moments, childhood laughs, rawness, and freedom within boundaries.
Featuring choreography by Artistic Director of kaneisee | collective, Tanya Chianese, and performances by Mallory Markham, Rebecca Morris, Emma Salmon, Vera Schwegler, and Ali Weeks.
