Target Free Sundays: Hands On: Archives and Photocollage with The Laundromat Project
Target Free Sundays Hands On: The Laundromat Project
Join us as we continue a special collaboration with The Laundromat Project, a community-based non-profit arts organization committed to making art more accessible.
Inspired by the artwork on view in Speaking of People: Ebony, Jet and Contemporary Art, this photo-based workshop will use archives as source material for our creative investigations. Participants will browse a selection of archival Ebony and Jet cover images, stories and advertisements to incorporate into collage pieces. Final compositions will be photographed with a smartphone and printed instantly!
