Lil' Studio: Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow
Lil' Studio: Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow
Parents with little ones ages 2.5 to 4 are invited to the Studio Museum to enjoy art-making and other activities that encourage creative time and bonding. Join this special session of Lil' Studio in which participants will be introduced to the upcoming exhibition, Speaking of People: Ebony, Jet and Contemporary Art. Children and adults will work together to create portraits using collage and watercolor to create embellished hairstyles and headdresses, inspired by Lorna Simpson's "Riunite & Ice" series.
Lil' Studio is free, refreshments will be provided. Pre-registration is required. Please note Lil' Studio cannot accommodate groups with more than five children. Early childhood centers should contact tours@studiomuseum.org to arrange a separate visit.
Lil' Studio is generously funded by Council Member Inez E. Dickens, 9th Council District, and Council Member Mark Levine, 7th Council District.
