Eat Your Words: A Food & Poetry Pairing
Three Forks Bakery & Brewing Co, recently opened in downtown Nevada City, has teamed up with celebrated poet, Molly Fisk, to create a special evening of food and poetry. The event, named Eat Your Words, will feature a multi-course organic seasonal menu designed by restaurant owner Shana Maziarz, based on poems selected by Molly Fisk. Each course will also be paired with a local wine, Three Forks beer, or non-alcoholic drinks, depending on the diner's preference.
During the leisurely dinner, attendees will feast on delectable dishes while Molly circulates among the tables reading poems that highlight the very food in their mouths. This is a night certain to please food and word lovers alike.
Open since mid-August, Three Forks Bakery & Brewing Co has quickly become a favorite for delicious locally-sourced organic food in a casual, yet elegant, setting.
Nationally-known poet Molly Fisk loves collaborating to bring poetry to listeners in new and creative ways. She's received grants from the NEA (National Endowment for the Arts) and the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, and is the author, most recently, of The More Difficult Beauty and Blow-Drying a Chicken.
This is a rescheduled event from an earlier postponed date. The event will be held at Three Forks on Tuesday, October 21st at 6:30pm.
