Generative Governance Study Group
Your board is pretty good, right? You have a good working relationship most of the time, but you and your board members want to build greater governance effectiveness. Here is your opportunity! Plan now to join the Generative Governance Study Group beginning in January.
These are much more than book groups. They are Study Groups of nonprofit executives and board members who will gather once a month for six months to discuss the principles and practices of Generative Governance described in The Practitioner's Guide to Governance as Leadership by Cathy A. Trower.
There's more!
The first session will feature a presentation by the author (who will be presenting from her office in Vermont). This will be a joint session for all groups and will be held on January 19 at 1:00 p.m. at HopeSparks, 6424 North Ninth Street in Tacoma.
And even more! There are actually two groups: one for Executive Directors/CEOs and one for Board members. Here are the details: Group size is limited to twelve participants so register right away! EDs/CEOs will meet at 1 p.m. on the third Monday of each month in the conference room at HopeSparks Board members will meet on the second Saturday of each month at 9 a.m. in the meeting room at the Pearl Street Forza (at Westgate). The registration fee is $150 per person for the entire series. Included is a copy of the book as well as additional resource materials to be provided throughout the series. Light refreshments will be served at each session. For more information, call Liz Heath at 253-381-9654 or email at liz@soundnonprofits.com.
