The Living Earth Institute (LEI) is a Seattle-based non-profit organization with the mission to empower international communities to protect their health and environment through the sustainable use of water resources.
We are excited to invite you to LEI's annual fundraiser this November 16, 2014, from 4pm - 6:30pm at 415 Westlake in South Lake Union. This event will feature guest speaker Broughton Coburn, a well known American writer, storyteller, adventurer, lecturer and professor. He has spent over thirty years in Nepal since he first visited the country while working with the Peace Corps. Broughton will be giving a speech called Aama's Journey, the heartwarming and significant tale of his deep friendship with an elderly Nepali woman. The story is accompanied by wonderful photographs of Broughton's time in Nepal and his adventures with Aama.
