Cajun Movie and Gumbo Night in the Grange
To celebrate the pots, pans, open fires and hearth cooking of SHED co-owner Cindy Daniel's native Louisiana, we're throwing a Cajun movie night in the Grange featuring two Les Blank films about the region and serving hot gumbo prepared by Healdsburg's local creole kitchen Parish Cafe.
Arrive at 7:00pm to get your cup of gumbo, Beer, kombucha, and movie snacks will be available for purchase. Showtime starts at 7:30 with Les Blank's Yum Yum Yum, a film about the director's passion for spicy, down home food and the people who cook it.
We'll follow up that tasty morsel with Spend it All, a rich portrayal of the lives and music of the French-speaking Cajuns of Louisiana, featuring the Balfa Brothers, Marc Savoy and Nathan Abshire.
Bring your appetites and get ready to spend an evening Loosinana Style!
Admission price includes the movies and one cup of gumbo. Alcoholic beverages and movie snacks (think cracklins!) will be available for purchase.
