Family Adventure: Budding Biologists
Experience the world of a zoologist as you and your kids join Margaret Boeger, Pepperwood School Programs Manager, to explore the rich wildlife at Pepperwood Preserve. You'll learn to identify the local birds by sight and song, and will search for signs and tracks of coyotes, foxes, mountain lions and other mammals.
Note to parents: Course involves moderate hiking outdoors for several hours. Bring sturdy shoes, a hat, sunscreen, bottled water, and a lunch. Binoculars and cameras are welcome.
This class is best suited for children over 5 years old (who can walk up to 3 miles). You may carry young children in backpacks.
