COTE Presents: Hangar Office with Edward Ogosta Architecture
Join Architect Edward Ogosta for a tour of Servicon Systems new Hangar Office in Culver City.
The Hangar Office is an adaptive re-use conversion of a Culver City warehouse into a modern, flexible training center for Servicon Systems, a leading provider of sustainable building maintenance services. The company was an early innovator of "Green Cleaning" services for the aerospace industry, and specializes in maintenance of top-secret facilities. In a nod to the owner's business, the project design references the generous interior space, industrial material palette, and restrained architecture of aircraft hangars. Notable sustainable features include a large roof-mounted photovoltaic array, solar-paneled carport, operable skylight shades, and a retractable curtain to control daylight. The project is on target to become the first LEED-NC Platinum building in Culver City.
Ed Ogosta, AIA LEED AP is Principal of Edward Ogosta Architecture in Culver City, a young upstart design office specializing in sustainable design of modern residences and office workspaces. Ed's work has garnered numerous accolades, including five AIA design awards at the Honor level, the Residential Architect Magazine Design Award, and finalist nominations for the ArchDaily Building of the Year Award and Architizer A+ Award. His work has also been published widely, in magazines such as Dwell, Architect, Angeleno, and MARK, and on dozens of journals onlin
