This classic Brothers Grimm story brims with singing birds, dancing bones, and barking trunks. Add a live band to blast the brutish stepmother and soothe the sobbing sister, and you get a not-to-be missed whirl of fairytale fun where everyone (who's supposed to) lives happily ever after.
Michael Sommers (Open Eye founder and Artist-in-Residence) continues his creative collaboration with Michael Koerner (composer). A cast of actors/puppeteers includes Robert Rosen as the Stepmother, Julian McFaul as the Father, Justin Spooner as the Boy, Liz Schachterle as the Mother and Tara Loeper as the Bird Woman.

Open Eye is located 2 blocks south of Franklin Ave between Portland Ave and 35W. There is free parking in the Lutheran Social Service lot at 24th and Portland.
