Change and Life Development
In this interesting session, promising new authors Rita Edah and John Lapwood will explore how change has been a key factor in their journeys to get published.
Rita Edah will introduce her novel 'Beauty's Story', a captivating tale of loss, love, betrayal and awareness that takes the reader from East London to Southern Nigeria and back again.
She will be joined by John Lapwood, who lectures in English Language, Linguistics and Intercultural Communication at the University of Bedfordshire. He will read passages from various pieces of his own writing which focus on people who are faced with life-changing choices.
This will be followed by a Q&A session during which Rita and John will be able to expand on how they channelled their own experiences into their writing and how they made that all importance first step towards getting published. This is an ideal opportunity for anyone thinking of writing their own book to gain an insight into the challenges of making that first step.
