"Oklahoma!" is one of the all-time great musicals of the American stage. Rodgers & Hammerstein's first collaboration is set in the Indian territory at the turn of the century when cattlemen and farmers were fighting over fences and water rights.It's the story of the romance of Curley and a farm girl, Laurie. Will, his fiance Ado Annie, and Ali Hakim are a trio that provide plenty of laughs.
The original Broadway production opened in 1943 starring Alfred Drake and in 1955 the movie version starred Gordon MacRae and Shirley Jones.
This is a show you will leave the theatre humming the tunes - especially the memorable "Oh What A beautiful Mornin'", "Kansas City", "People Will Say We're In Love", "I Cain't Say No", "Surrey With The Fringe On Top", and the title song "Oklahoma".
