THE DEWEY DECIMAL FESTIVAL
You're invited to an evening of merriment as the Friends of the Chappaqua Library present THE DEWEY DECIMAL FESTIVAL, an evening of original ten-minute comedies.
WE'RE PLAYING IN THE STACKS!
We've chosen the best of more than a hundred short comedies about books and libraries, submitted by playwrights from around the world. For one night only, we bring them to you live, performed as staged readings, by a team of talented thespians gifted in the theatrical arts. The actors, young and old, hail from Chappaqua and greater Westchester.
Ticket proceeds benefit the Friends of the Chappaqua Library, to support those library programs you love, like Nursery Rhyme Time, Big Truck Day, the Foreign Policy Discussion group, careers workshops, book discussion groups, and many, many more. The Friends also fund special projects like the Shakespeare Garden and the Butterfly Courtyard, and acquisitions of all kinds. Remember when you sang along with Faust, and laughed along with Red Dwarf, and dined along with Downton Abbey? Also the Friends.
Chappaqua Library programs are open to all, and with a WLS library card ANY patron can check out any of the many multi-media holdings.
So come join us! Bring your family, friends, mailman, masseuse, mother-in-law and support this gem of a library.
One performance only, Saturday, October 18, 7.30 pm, at the Chappaqua Library Theatre, 195 South Greeley Avenue, Chappaqua NY.
For one low price you get not one, not two, but NINE new comedies, and support the Friends of the Library (priceless!)
