Talking Circles and Family Group Conferencing Facilitation Skills Training
TC and FGC offers a transparent process by which to
restore & strengthen relationships that encircle a child in need; establish common understandings on the history/nature of the problem and reach agreement
on how best to move forward. This training is offered to Agency staff, CFSA and DFNA Caseworkers.
Objectives:
- Be introduced to the origins of FGC, philosophy and purpose
- Become familiar with the FGC Model and considerations for successful implementation
- Gain confidence and skills in the facilitation of a Circle process and how to modify the process to accommodate unique family circumstances
