Lauren Grodstein: The Explanation for Everything Faith, forgiveness, and healing are among the important themes in Grodstein's insightful new novel. When a biology professor and one of his students begin to debate the origins of life, an unexpected relationship develops between them. Grodstein is the award-winning author of three novels and a collection of short stories. She teaches at Rutgers University.
