"My Dear Othello..." is a richly produced piece, employing artistic sensibilities both ancient and modern, both familiar and foreign, incorporating dialogue, movement and music for a fully integrated and entertaining theatrical presentation.
Written by Kralj & Anderson, directed and choreographed by Kralj, this 2014 version of My Dear Othello features original cast members Isabelle Kralj and Janet Lilly (Department of Dance, UNC-Greensboro), and introduces new Gigante performers Michael Stebbins and Tom Reed. With original scenic art by legendary Milwaukee artist, the late Schomer Lichtner; set design and lighting by veteran Milwaukee designer, Rick Graham (Prof. of Theatre, UWM); music by Gigante regular Seth Warren-Crow; and costumes by Marion Clendenen-Acosta.
