Prenatal & Birth Patterns in the Cycles of Life
Prenatal and birth experiences create lasting imprints within the psyche, cells and limbic system of the body. Over three decades in the field of Prenatal & Birth Psychology reveals that these first experiences form lenses through which later life experiences are perceived.
Negative imprints from unmet needs or traumatic events (unwanted pregnancy, separation from mother, surgical birth, painful procedures, etc.) create beliefs and patterns that one must endure and SURVIVE (i.e., something is wrong with me, the world is unsafe). Positive imprints formed from a loving, gentle welcome into the womb and the world form a solid foundation that allows one to THRIVE (i.e., the world is a welcoming place, I am loved and accepted exactly as I am).
Insight from prenatal psychology sheds light upon and can positively affect one's spirituality, sexuality, productivity, the entire spectrum of one's life. It also helps to prevent trauma and supports a healthier birth process for both moms, babies and dads by providing the opportunity to clear patterns that may form roadblocks until they are identified and resolved. In Dr. Emerson's words:
Most irregularities in the birthing process appear to derive from unresolved conflicts in the lives of the parents relating to themselves, to each other, to their parents, or to their attitude about the infant...These irregularities express themselves in such issues as prematurity, breech births, fast births, long labors, cord complications, and birthing positions.
Don't miss this opportunity to learn from one of the world's foremost authorities on birth trauma prevention and resolution.
