Dementia Americana
Synapse Theatre Ensemble is proud to present DEMENTIA AMERICANA, a true story of murder, mental insanity, and American greed. Ripped from history, but uncomfortably relevant, this dark comedy revolves around the wealthy and disturbed Harry Kendall Thaw, the lovely and young Evelyn Nesbit, his obsession and New York's very first "It" girl, and his frustrated psychologist, Dr. Rollo May.
Directed by Paul Mancini, written by and starring the team that brought you ON THE ROCKS, Louis Aquiler and Chris D'Amato as Rollo May and Harry Thaw, and featuring Charly Bivona (SOME ARE MORE HUMAN) as Evelyn, Ariana Murphy (WILD BLUE) as Mary Thaw, and Laura Henry (VISSI DANCE THEATER) and Ken Marlo (ON THE ROCKS) as an ensemble of characters ranging from John Philip Sousa to several hookers. This 90-minute, high-intensity, madness-fueled event will be for ONE DAY ONLY! Two performances will take place on Saturday, September 20th at The Bridge Theater in Shetler Studios, 3PM and 8PM. Tickets are VERY LIMITED, buying in advance is highly recommend to guarantee a seat. You don't want to miss it!
