BEYOND THE WOOD: Stukulele and Friends
Ukulele virtuoso Stuart Fuchs (aka "Stukulele") performs an unforgettable evening of jaw dropping Ukulele musicincluding his "stunt ukulele" antics. His performances showcase a wide range of musical styles including Hawaiian, Gypsy Swing, Brazilian & Flamenco, Rockabilly Blues, Vaudevillian Comedy...and even "serious" music ala J.S. Bach.
Stuart's musicality, singing and showmanship are wonderfully heartwarming & push the limits of what is possible on this four stringed instrument . In the hands of a virtuoso such as "Stukulele", the tiny & humble Ukulele's possibilities for musical expression become larger than life. This Ukulele (and Guitar) concert is guaranteed to make you smile.
He is joined by 'local' Portland musicians, Elizabeth Byrd (cello) and others.
