Play "Love Song" on Orcas Island
"Love Song" by John Kolvenback has been called "richly comic and deeply touching." and "outstanding" as we learn that Beane (played by Zach Knight) is an exile from lifean oddball. Following a burglary on Beane's apartment, his sister, Joan (Melinda Milligan), and brother-in-law, Harry (Tom Fiscus) are baffled to find her brother blissfully happy and try to unravel the story behind his mysterious new love, Molly (Cara Russell).
Love Song is a very different kind of comedy. Like most comedies you will find a lot to laugh about but it is also the story of four people who learn about themselves and undergo changes that prepare them for the rest of their lives. Love Song is one of the most humorous and touching plays the Actors Theater has presented in a long time. Join Zach Knight as Beane, Cara Russell as Molly, Melinda Milligan as Beane's sister Joan, and Tom Fiscus as Joan's husband Harry, as they find their way though the labyrinth of life.
Language and subject material make this play suitable for mature audiences.
