Set in a small village on the Italy-Slovenian border, IDENTITÀ tells the story of a brother and sister who fought the Germans and each other in opposing factions of the Italian resistance during WWII. Family secrets resurface when their nephew arrives from the United States after his father's death and discovers his true ethnic heritage has been hidden from him all his life. Influenced by interviews Zamparutti conducted with families along Italy's eastern border where the scars of war still stir ethnic and political divisions, IDENTITÀ is universal and timely as we witness conflicts throughout the world where individual, community and national identity remains a constant struggle.

Seating will not be permitted a half hour after the start of a performance without an intermission.
